Man's dream of jail may be fulfilled
By JOE BELANGER, QMI Agency

LONDON, Ont. -- Well, he got his wish to go to jail.

Of course, there’s no telling how long he’ll be there.

London police say a man walked to a restaurant in the area of Commissioners Rd. and Highbury Ave. around 3:30 a.m. Sunday and tossed a cigarette disposal unit through the glass front door. He then went to a nearby payphone, called police and turned himself in.

“Officers arrived, met with the male who pointed out the damage and arrested him,” said Const. Jane Crosby.

“When asked why he did it, the male said he wanted to go to jail.”

Robin Black, 33, of Windsor, is charged with causing property damage under $5,000. He was held in custody and was to appear in court Monday.
