Meter reader allegedly greeted with punches
By QMI Agency

OTTAWA - A Hydro Quebec meter reader was greeted with several punches in the head Tuesday night in La Peche.

According to MRC des Collines Police Sgt. Daniel Pariseau, the meter reader suffered only minor injuries and managed to escape to call the cops.

"We nearly arrived to the same welcome," said Pariseau.

The officers managed to subdue the attacking man -- 64 years old and drunk -- by hand.

"He's gonna spend the rest of the night here with us," said Pariseau.

The man is already known to police for similar outbursts. He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
