8-foot chicken plucked from yard

A fibreglass statue of a chicken similar to this one has gone missing from the front yard of a chicken farm near Delhi, Ont.


SIMCOE, ONT. -- A giant fibreglass chicken was stolen from the front yard of a chicken farm northeast of Delhi, Ont., last week.

The eight-foot decorative bird is white and yellow with a red comb.

The chicken thieves broke the chicken off at the legs when they swiped it.

The statue has an estimated value of $3,000.

The theft occurred sometime between Thursday evening and early Friday.

Anyone with information regarding the theft is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or the Norfolk OPP at 519-426-3434.
