An unusually rough match during a ball hockey game has led to an assault charge, police said.

A 28-year-old Cornwall, Ont., man was arrested Thursday and charged with assault causing bodily harm.

Police allege two men got into a fight during a ball hockey game at the Benson Centre in June.

A 19-year-old man needed medical attention, police said.

The accused, whose name was not released, will appear in court Sept. 11.
