How many people can squeeze into a Mini?
By Relaxnews

Mini World Record (BMW)

Twenty-eight UK gym members have set a new world record for the number of people in a Mini car at one time.

The group of women from East Sussex broke two Guinness World Records when 28 of them managed to clamber inside a 2012 Mini, using every available space in the diminutive car including the dashboard, footwells and the trunk -- which it turns out can hold four adults in an emergency. The previous record, of 27, was also held by the group and had been set last year.

For an encore, the women rushed to a TV studio to attempt the feat again, this time with a classic, much smaller pre-BMW-takeover Mini on live television. The result of that? Another new world record of 23 people, two better than the previous best.

The East Sussex ladies' success is just two of thousands of record-breaking attempts happening worldwide Thursday to make the eighth annual Guinness World Records Day.
