Darwin the Ikea Monkey gets new home
By SHAWN JEFFORDS, QMI Agency

Ikea Monkey

TORONTO - Sometimes it seems like any monkey can drive in this city.

Caitlin McGuire wondered if that wasn't true when she pulled into a parking space at Ikea in north Toronto on Sunday and spotted Darwin, a seven-month-old rhesus macaque monkey, jumping around inside the vehicle beside her car.

"It looked like he was just having a good time," she said. "He was wearing his little diaper and coat and he looked pretty happy."

The Ajax, Ont., native snapped pictures of Darwin as he bounced around inside the vehicle. He was hard to miss as he moved throughout the car, making a lot of noise, she said.
