Ikea monkey's owner will seek custody
By Shawn Jeffords, QMI Agency
TORONTO — Yasmin Nakhuda says she wants Darwin the Ikea monkey back. The Toronto real estate lawyer emerged from her home Tuesday afternoon clutching a small red outfit she purchased for the rhesus macaque, which has become an international sensation since his high-profile jaunt through a Toronto Ikea parking lot on Sunday. An emotional Nakhuda said she wanted to give the outfit to Darwin, who is now in the custody of the operators of the Story Book Farm Primate Sanctuary in Sunderland, Ont. Nakhuda insisted that the sanctuary is not the proper place for little Darwin. |
