POHENEGAMOOK, QUE. - The military is interested in two mysterious objects that are believed to have fallen from the sky near the Quebec-New Brunswick border this week.
It's unclear whether the two objects broke apart on impact.
A cameraman with QMI Agency's French TV network TVA was among several people who located the pieces on Tuesday in the woods near the merger point between Quebec, New Brunswick and the state of Maine.
The area is not far from the Pohenegamook border crossing into Maine.
Military police from CFB Bagotville north of Quebec City are in the process of gathering photographs and video clips of the twisted metal objects. The RCMP was also on the scene but neither agency would speculate as to the objects' origins.
Specialists tell QMI Agency the device could be from an aircraft or a weather sensor but didn't originate from outer space.
The armed forces are questioning people who made the discovery.
