Fresh off being named the sexiest man alive by satirical news agency the Onion, North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un has been selected as Time magazine's man of the year.

At least, that's what state media there has reported.

The Korean Central News Agency reported Tuesday that Kim was selected by "politicians, business owners, artists, athletes and broadcasters" as the magazine's "man of this year."

But thanks to hackers from the website 4Chan, the supreme leader actually did come out on top of the Time reader poll for the coveted title. Reports say the hackers manipulated the top 14 places of the poll, giving Kim 5.6 million votes to beat Daily Show host Jon Stewart by more than three million.

Time magazine's editors actually select the person of the year.

Last month, Kim was named the Onion's sexiest man alive for 2012, and the China People's Daily reported the spoof as straight news — which has since been removed from its website.
