Video of kid-snatching eagle a hoax
By QMI Agency

Golden Eagle Snatches Kid

MONTREAL — It took less than 24 hours for a Montreal animation school to admit it created a hoax video that appears to show an eagle lifting a toddler off the ground on Montreal's Mount Royal.

The NAD computer-animation school fessed up, but not before the clip was viewed more than 2.7 million times on YouTube.

A large bird is seen hovering in the sky over Montreal for a few seconds before it swoops down on the child while a man stands nearby.

A second man, who's filming the scene, says "Oh, s---" and begins running towards the eagle, which carries the child for a few metres before dropping the youngster.

The school said three of its students created the clip.

The school also claimed responsibility for an earlier web hoax that purported to show a penguin escaping from the Montreal Biodome.
