Thousands of spiders fill Brazilian sky
By QMI Agency

Raining spiders in Brazil

If you hate looking up at the sky and seeing dreary clouds, be relieved, it could be a mass of spiders.

A video posted earlier this week on YouTube taken in Brazil shows thousands of spiders in the sky.

Along with the video, Eric Reis stated that he didn't know what caused the spiders in the air, but was looking into it further.

Brazilian news site G1 spoke to a biologist who identified the spiders as Anelosimus eximius which is a social spider known for massive colonies and "sheet webs." The biologist added the massive grouping of spiders was common for the Anelosimus eximius.

In Reis's video, the thousands of spiders in various sizes either hang in the massive web or start travelling towards the ground, while others are dangling from nearby power lines.
