Mother accused of trying to sell children on Facebook
By QMI Agency

(Reuters)

An Oklahoma mother of two is accused of trying to sell her children on Facebook for $4,000 to bail her boyfriend out of jail — and she allegedly received an offer.

Misty VanHorn, 22, was allegedly in contact with an Arkansas woman over Facebook about selling her two-year-old and 10-month-old for $4,000 or only the two-year-old for $1,000, the Seqouyah County Times reported.

A police report stated VanHorn was trying to sell the children by March 4 to post bond for her boyfriend, the paper reported.

It's alleged VanHorn told the Arkansas woman to "come to Sallisaw to get the child...and all her stuff."

She allegedly told police she spoke to a friend about selling the children and mentioned the Arkansas woman.
