MONTREAL - A jailed Hells Angels biker whose intestines were paralyzed in a 1994 assassination attempt is suing Quebec for $390,000, unlimited bathroom access and a supply of prune juice.
Serge Lebrasseur, 49, claims the shooting caused incontinence that forces him to manually remove his own stool and that his current jail conditions are "very humiliating and degrading."
Lebrasseur, arrested in a 2009 anti-biker sweep, is awaiting trial for eight counts of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
He claims in court documents to be a victim of abuse and discrimination because jail guards won't let him deal with his incontinence in private.
Lebrasseur, of Trois-Rivieres, Que., was shot in the lower back in the early days of the bloody 1990s biker war.
He escaped with a paralyzed leg and intestines, causing incontinence "which requires manual removal of stool," the lawsuit filed in Quebec Superior Court says.
