LONDON, Ont. -- This little piggy went to market. Scores of Honey-Bee hams didn't, though.

One hundred and seventy of the hams were stolen from a refrigeration truck outside the Honey-Bee Ham Co. on Adelaide St. N.

The value of the hijacked hams is estimated at $10,000.

London police investigated a tip that the hams were being hocked on Kijiji but the listing turned out to be a hoax.

Const. Will Knelsen said it was unusual to have such a large theft of perishable goods.

"They'll have to use it or get rid of it quickly. It's not like jewelry," he said.
