EDMONTON ó When it comes to The Club, itís always best to remove the anti-theft device before driving.
Mounties in Boyle, Alta., located north of Edmonton, responded to a call after witnesses driving along Hwy. 63 noticed a speeding car swerving erratically into the oncoming lane, almost causing a head-on collision, police said.
Upon pulling the car over, officers discovered the 27-year-old driver from Fort McMurray, Alta., had The Club fixed onto his steering wheel, police said.
ďIíve only ever heard of this happening once before and in that case it was a stolen vehicle. Certainly if our members come across someone with a Club on their steering wheel thatís the first inclination,Ē Cpl. John Spaans said.
