Animals caught acting like humans

It has been an interesting week in the animal kingdom. We have a toucan posing for selfies, cows grooving to a trombone rendition of Lorde’s famous hit, Royals, and a dog running for public office.

A YouTube video of a toucan photobombing a traffic camera in Brazil might make you rethink how to take a selfie. The cute bird flies up and strikes a few poses before attempting to eat the camera.

A Kansas farmer played a moo-ving rendition of Lorde’s smash hit Royals that attracted an entire herd of cows in a YouTube video uploaded Sunday. In the clip, the man sits down in a lawn chair with his trombone in what looks like an empty field. But he keeps playing until the cows come home – dozens of them.

Finally, a Washington-state pooch is hoping to send a lot of people to the dog house. The dog is running for the Whatcom County Prosecutor position, according to KOMO News. Nyima, the nine-month-old Tibetan terrier, is a write-in candidate for the position and he’s up against David McEachran, who has run unopposed for the last 10 terms.

“He’s charming, he’s honest, he’s got a lot of character,” the dog's owner, Frank James, said.

Too bad you have to be human to win.
