WINNIPEG — Two men won’t be charged after police determined they didn’t expose themselves and perform indecent acts in front of a woman and three children in a park, but rather they were high and one of them had a wardrobe malfunction while trying to conceal drugs and paraphernalia.Follow @Canoe
Police say the two had been sitting on a park bench Wednesday evening and chatted with the children.
A short time after walking away, police were told one of the men lowered his pants and exposed himself, at which point both men were seen performing indecent acts.
A different story emerged after police arrested the men Thursday night.
The men told investigators they were high and tried to conceal their drugs and paraphernalia, police said. As they were leaving the park, police said one of the men’s pants fell down.
Police said the suspects’ actions would certainly appear suspicious and indecent to people viewing from a distance.
Drug charges won’t be laid because the men weren’t in possession of any when officers took them into custody.
