The meat of a 12-foot-long tiger shark fed more than 90 poor and homeless Texans after a fisherman donated his catch.

It took Ryan Spring more than seven hours to reel in the 800 lb. beast on Aug. 3, the San Antonio Express-News reports. A volunteer chef breaded and baked it and turned it into dinner for some of the people at Timon's Ministries in Corpus Christi on Tuesday.

"It was the biggest fish that has ever been donated to us," director Kae Berry told the newspaper.

"Our kitchen manager wasn't sure people would like it, but the chef did a great job and most people really enjoyed it," Berry said.

They didn't even use up the whole shark. The leftovers will be turned into shark stew next week.
