Police protect woman who threw cat in trash bin
By QMI Agency

A woman who was filmed stroking a cat before grabbing it and throwing it into a trash bin has become a YouTube sensation.

Police in England have been dispatched to a Coventry woman's home after a security camera recorded her throwing a cat into a trash bin.

The woman, who became an overnight sensation on YouTube when she was filmed stroking a cat before grabbing it and throwing it into a trash bin, is a local bank worker.

The cat, Lola, was trapped in the trash can for 15 hours before her owners found her the next morning, the Daily Mail is reporting.

Thousands joined a Facebook group to protest the woman's behaviour, many calling for violence.

Police are concerned for the woman's safety and posted two officers at her house. They also defended the fact she hasn't been arrested.

"Coventry police have not arrested the woman because she has not committed a criminal offence," police told the newspaper.

"Coventry police are making sure the woman is okay as we would with any other member of the community given what has happened."
