Residents evacuated after train derails in Ohio
By QMI Agency

Residents living near where a train derailed and caught fire in Columbus, Ohio, are being told to evacuate the area.

Eleven cars of the Norfolk Southern freight train derailed at about 2 a.m. Wednesday, the Columbus Dispatch reported. A fireball lit up the night sky near the Ohio State Fairgrounds.

About 100 residents within a 1.6 km radius were evacuated, fire officials said. It's believed the cars that were still on fire four hours after the derailment contained alcohol and the chemical compound styrene.

Fire officials told the Dispatch the fire has been contained.

No injuries have been reported.
