Heart Attack Grill spokesman dies from heart attack
By QMI Agency

An unpaid spokesman for the infamous Heart Attack Grill has died of a heart attack.

John Alleman, 52, was a regular and mascot at the Las Vegas burger joint known for its nurse-clad waitresses and artery-clogging grub — including the nearly 10,000 calorie, 3-lb Quadruple Bypass Burger, Flatliner fries, filterless cigarettes and Butterfat milkshakes.

Alleman was waiting for a bus outside the restaurant last week when he collapsed and died in hospital Monday, restaurant owner Jon Basso said.

Alleman — known as Patient John — went to the grill so often the owner created a clothing line in his name and put his face on the front of the menus.

"He lived, ate and breathed the Heart Attack Grill," Basso told the Las Vegas Sun.

In March 2011, 29-year-old Blair River, another unofficial spokesman, died of flu-related pneumonia complicated by his 570-lb frame.
