Nadya Suleman, perhaps better known as Octomom, has been hit with allegations of welfare fraud.

Suleman, who was already a mother to six children when she gained notoriety for giving birth to octuplets in 2009, is accused of collecting welfare in 2012 while reportedly earning nearly $200,000.

“Someone made the allegation last week to the L.A. County Dept. of Welfare Fraud Prevention and Investigation (WFP&I), claiming (Suleman) is getting various forms of welfare, including food stamps, even though she made nearly $200,000 in 2012,” reports TMZ.

The allegations come following Suleman’s foray into the porn industry last year. She starred in the adult film, Octomom Home Alone, which netted her four AVN Awards nominations, for which she won Best Celebrity Sex Tape.

According to TMZ, WFP&I are investigating the fraud allegation. If she is charged and convicted she could be facing three years in jail.
