Colombian police say a mother sold sex with her 12 young virgin daughters for about $200 each.

Police said Margarita de Jesus Zapata Moreno, 45, of Bogota sold the girls' virginity after they turned 12 years old and forced them into a life of prostitution.

One of the daughter's, who was 14 when her mother allegedly sold her virginity to a 51-year-old electrical contractor, became pregnant. The daughter, who claims her mother and the john tried to force her to have an abortion, reported her mother to police. Police launched an investigation in 2011.

Police also arrested the contractor, Cornelio Daza, and are searching for the other men who allegedly paid to have sex with the girls.

Moreno and Daza are both accused of carnal abuse of a minor and enforcement of prostitution.
