An 11-year-old Illinois girl has been left "a little bit bummed" after the state's health department forced her to close her cupcake business.

The girl, Chloe Stirling, had a booming little business - enough to receive some local media attention.

But that good news story carried unintended consequences.

In an interview with QMI Agency, Chloe and her mother Heather said the Illinois Health Department got wind of her tasty treats business through the media coverage.

And the government intervened to shut down Chloe's Hey Cupcake business, telling the young entrepreneur she wasn't allowed to make any cupcakes in their home for anyone other than immediately family.

In order to continue, Chloe would have to get a second, licensed, kitchen.
