As the last Canadian troops return from Afghanistan,  here's a look back at the best soldier homecoming videos the web has to offer.

A warning, though:  These sweet family reunions may leave you asking,  "Is somebody cutting onions in here?"

Back in 2010, this Canadian soldier surprised his mom on Christmas Eve.

Here's a compilation video of U.S. soldiers meeting their babies for the first time.

This Canadian soldier came home early and surprised his wife and dog.

In this compilation video, soldiers reunite with the furry members of their families.

This American soldier surprised her dad on his birthday. The video says she hadn't seen him in nearly two years.

"He doesn't know what's about to hit him," she says.

This Canadian soldier came home from Afghanistan a few weeks early and joined his girlfriend at a family dinner.

He had another surprise for her too.

U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Joe Myers -- just home from Iraq -- showed up at his 10-year-old daughter's school.

This tearful dad is watching a video from his sailor son, who sends regrets that he can't be there in person to celebrate his father's 50th birthday.

Then, a woman's voice says, "Turn around and give your son a hug."
