A Florida woman sued her city and county after she claims police made her poop on her front lawn during a drug raid.

According to legal documents, Dawn Brooks says police detained her for two to three hours on Feb. 9, 2010, and during that time her requests to defecate were refused and she was instead told to "just use the restroom right there" in the yard.

In her lawsuit against the County of Volusia and the City of New Smyrna Beach, Brooks claims police would not assist her to clean herself up or get dressed and told her to change into a plastic jumpsuit, after removing all her clothes, in the front yard.

She claims the officers' actions "caused her "mental anguish and humiliation" and violated her constitutional rights to due process and to be "free from unreasonable searches and seizures."

Brooks's home was being searched for methamphetamines.

A judge dismissed the suit on March 13, but Brooks can file an amended complaint by April 4.
