People who support a 14-year-old girl from the Netherlands who was arrested after allegedly tweeting a bomb threat at American Airlines are now also taking to Twitter to make jokes about bombs.

The girl, identified as Sarah, tweeted at American Airlines, "hello my name's Ibrahim and I'm from Afghanistan. I'm part of Al Qaida and on June 1st I'm gonna do something really big bye."

The airline tweeted back saying it took the threat very seriously and it contacted the FBI with the sender's IP.

Sarah apologized, blamed a friend and said she was a "white girl" before the conversation was deleted by both her and the airline.

On Monday, Rotterdam Police tweeted a girl had been arrested in connection with the threat. She was released Tuesday, but the investigation continues, police said.

Now, supporters of Sarah, or people who want in on the joke, are also tweeting threats.

User @ShyyLicious who says she is from New York, tweeted at American Airlines, "I have a bomb under the next plane to take off." She also defended the 14-year-old who was arrested, saying she made "a stupid mistake."

The police that arrested the girl have also been threatened online.

"release her or I'll bomb your HQ (headquarters). You gonna arrest me now?" user @nonfreak wrote.

American Airlines and the police did not immediately respond to the new threats on Twitter.
