1. Explained: How tornadoes form

This spruce tree crashed through Angie Wishart’s ceiling in Angus, Ont.
Her’s was one of about 100 homes west of Barrie, Ont., hit with an Enhanced F2 Tornado with 180 km/h winds that touched down on Tuesday.

2. The Situation arrested
Former Jersey Shore star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has been charged with simple assault after a fist fight at a New Jersey tanning salon.
Apparently, the fight was with his own brother.
3.Tim Hudak stepping down
After a crushing defeat to the Liberals, Ontario PC Leader Tim Hudak said that he’d be stepping down. Late yesterday, it was confirmed he’ll be out as leader as of July 2.
He plans to stay on as MPP for Niagara West-Glanbrook.

4. One year since Alberta floods
It’s been a year since the historic floods that devastated Calgary and other parts of Alberta. Our friends at the Calgary Sun went back to some areas photographed during the flood to see how they are faring now.

5. Chile fans crash stadium
A group of rowdy fans of Chile’s soccer team crashed the stadium before the match between that country and Spain in Brazil yesterday. Chile beat Spain 2-0, knocking the competition favourites out of the World Cup.
