1. Quebec mayor dies of wasp stings

The Montreal suburb of La Prairie is in shock after its mayor died from being stung by wasps Sunday.

Lucie F Roussel, 51, had stepped on a wasp’s nest at her cottage in Stratford, Que., a friend said.


2. Blue Jays bomb

Well, that was embarrassing.

The Toronto Blue Jays got their feathers handed to them last night in a 14-1 game against Boston.

Starting pitcher Drew Hutchison didn’t make it past the third inning, and things only went downhill from there.

Tonight, the Jays take on the Red Sox again for the second game in a four-game series.


3. Robert Downey Jr. is super rich

At one point, no one could have seen this coming, but Robert Downey Jr. is the highest paid actor in Hollywood for the second year in a row.

Forbes estimates has earned $75 million in the last year.


4. Happy birthday, Prince George

The teeniest royal is celebrating his first birthday today.

5.Black boxes returned

The latest from the tragedy in Donetsk, Ukraine, is that a Russian separatist has handed over the black boxes from the crashed Malaysia Airlines flight MH17.
