An Ohio county can be sued for allegedly failing to supervise one of its morgue workers who was convicted of having sex with corpses, a court has ruled.

Kenneth Douglas, 60, was convicted of sexually abusing three bodies, but in a deposition said he had sex with up to 100 bodies at work, WCPO in Cincinnati reported.

Douglas said he was usually drunk or on drugs when it happened. He worked the night shift between 1976 and 1992.

"I would just get on top of them and pull my pants down," he said.

On Friday, a federal appeals court ruled the families of the women can sue Hamilton County for not properly supervising Douglas, WCPO reported.

A jury said there was evidence his supervisors were aware he was drinking and having sex with live women while on the job.

Douglas was found guilty of gross abuse of a corpse in three cases in 2008 and 2012.
